SPECIAL EVENTS

Smoki Tours are scheduled monthly.

The next trip is  a  two day trip on September 25th, 8 AM to September 26th, 5 PM.

The tour is entitled “First Time to Hopi Mesas.” Participants will get to walk through the oldest inhabited villages in North America.  They will hear a little of the oral tradition that has maintained this living culture into the 21st century.  

All meals and lodging is provided.  There will be easy but occasionally uneven walking,

Cost: $350 for members, $375 for non-members.  The guide for this trip will be  Donald Nelson.

A minimum of 9 is needed to book this trip.  The maximum is 12.

On Friday, July 23, Indian Art such as pottery, jewelry, baskets, katsina dolls, paintings, and other items were auctioned.  Many of these items sold at the minimum bid leading to buyers getting excellent values.

 

On Saturday, July 24th, about 300 Navajo Rugs were auctioned. Navajo Rugs

such as Ganado Red, Teec Nos Pos, Storm Pattern, Two Grey Hills, and others were sold at prices that led to happy buyers.  A few weavers were present to display their creations.   Bruce Burnham from the R.B. Saturday, September 4th will be the second edition of the Bizarre Bazaar.  

The Bazaar will be open from 8 AM until  everything is gone. A variety of gently used items will be available for purchase including crafts, books, etc.  

Donations of anything EXCEPT clothing and large furniture is appreciated.
